10+ Spring Crafts to Make and Sell

One of my favorite things to do on a warm spring Saturday is visit craft fairs in my area.

I love getting gifts for family & friends and supporting small businesses.

I always thought it would be cool to have my own craft booth, so I’ve been gathering ideas of items that would sell really well at different times of year.

I can totally see myself retiring and doing the craft show circuit one day. Setting up my booth on a Saturday and helping customers find that perfect gift or item for their home.

You can easily make a side business out of selling handmade items at craft fairs, flea markets, and even on Etsy or Facebook.

Just create your DIY projects at home when you have time at night or on the weekend, and then sell them at a profit!

Best Selling Spring Crafts to Sell

So many things are profitable to sell, and here are 10 of the hottest trending items I could come up with. This list is based on my personal experience as an actual buyer of these types of items; I am confident these will be best sellers.

I have been to SO MANY craft fairs, flea markets, bazaars, and pop-up sales I’ve lost count.

My husband knows when I am in the mood to hit sales, he is in for up to 2 or 3 stops in a single weekend! 🙂

I’ve seen booths that are hopping with customers, and I know which ones are duds. As a prime customer for these events, I can tell you what appeals to me from a personal viewpoint as well as what I’ve just noticed working well from a curiosity standpoint.

I just love the idea of a craft business!

Where Can You Sell Crafts?

These days you are not really limited to in-person events like craft fairs or flea markets.

I found many of these for sale on Facebook Marketplace as well. You could also sell them somewhere like Etsy or perhaps even Amazon Handmade.

For making online sales, my recommendation is to start with Facebook. It’s so easy to list your items for sale on Facebook, and you can sell them locally AND nationally by charging shipping.

I didn’t realize you could buy things on Facebook from out of state until recently. I bought a second-hand ski jacket for my daughter, halfway thinking it wouldn’t show up, but lo and behold it did! HA

Since then I’ve ordered two more items to be shipped with no issues. One of them was my first idea below – the personalized Easter bucket!

10+ Hottest Spring Craft Show Money Makers

I hope these ideas help you as you brainstorm items that could be profitable for you. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these items!

1) Pretty Personalized Easter Buckets

In the weeks leading up to to Easter, this is the perfect item to sell!

I purchased the yellow bucket in this picture on Facebook, personalized with my son’s name on it. I think it’s SO STINKING CUTE!

He uses it for Easter egg hunting and also just general digging in dirt playing in the back yard. 🙂

I think they would make a perfect gift for your own child or grandchildren, nieces or nephews.

2) Flower Wreaths (tulips, hydrangeas, roses, peonies, etc)

About 100% of the days of the year, I have a wreath of some kind with flowers on it on my front door.

I loveeeee floral wreaths!

As such, I am ALWAYS on the hunt for pretty front door wreaths. I actually have to buy two of each wreath because I have a double front door!

These are an immensely popular things to sell at craft fairs because every woman like me loves to have a pretty wreath on her front door.

Because of the popularity of the Joanna Gaines style of decorating, you cannot go wrong with a flower wreath that has a vintage feel. Basically, if your grandmother would have put it on her front door, it’s a good idea at the moment!

3) Cherry Blossom Notecards or Prints

Note card sets are always easy to sell. I have bought so many sets over the years, from hand painted notecards to picture postcards.

If you are good at photography, you can take photos and use them on handmade photo cards like this >>

I like to keep them on hand to give with birthday gifts or to send to friends & family just because. All the note card lovers like me are constantly looking for new designs to add to our collections! 🙂

Because they are very low cost to create, beautiful notecards like this are one of the most profitable spring crafts to sell.

4) Wooden Front Porch Welcome Sign

I can’t tell you how many people I know who have a front porch welcome sign just like this one!

It’s such a cute addition to any front porch, and lots of people look for them when springtime comes and they want to refresh their front porch.

5) Wooden Planter Boxes

Wooden porch planter boxes are ALL THE RAGE these days.

I know because I’m dying to get some myself!

I see them everywhere in my neighborhood and I think they’re the perfect thing for my front and back porches.

If you are looking for something to create for sale in April or early May, you can’t go wrong with graduation gifts of any kind.

7) Bird Houses

Bird houses and bird feeders are something every homeowner can use. I am personally on the hunt for one for our back yard, so that’s why I know they are great sellers – I’m on the hunt for one!

I love the look of the red barn styles but also more rustic / vintage / farmhouse looks like the one below.

The more unique the better when it comes to bird houses! Classic, unique looks are in.

8) Spring Themed Tote Bags

This adorable tote bag is an easy DIY product that almost looks vintage!

I have never seen one like this in person, but if I had, I would have scooped it up as my Bible study bag!

I love the pom pom details and whimsical nature of it. And it wouldn’t be expensive to create, which means you could make a good profit on it.

I just love a good, highly PROFITABLE craft idea.

  • all over floral design
  • “WELCOME SPRING!” saying with bumble bees
  • a mat with a cherry blossom tree design
  • a mat with blossoming tulips or daffodils

You could always go with whatever is trending at the time. Right now everyone is using black and white checkered pattern doormats. Go figure!

I have no doubt front door mats are a good craft show money maker.

10) Flower Bud Vases

Lately I’ve noticed a lot of mini flower vase sets in stores…the kind that hold one flower stem each.

They’re so adorable when grouped together.

For many years I kept a set of flower bud vases on my counter in the springtime, and I would bring in a few new hydrangea stems every week. It made a lovely display!

If you know how to make pottery or ceramics, this would be the perfect spring time DIY money making craft. You could easily sell a set of matching vases OR a collection of coordinating vases in different sizes.

They’re so easy to display, too. Just bring some gorgeous flower stems with you to showcase your vases.
